Responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Extra Low Voltage systems, including security, communication, and automation solutions in buildings and infrastructure projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Installation & Maintenance
Install, configure, and test ELV systems such as:
CCTV & surveillance systems
Access control & biometric systems
Fire alarm & public address systems
Structured cabling (LAN, fiber optics)
Audio-visual & home automation systems
Perform wiring, conduit installation, and terminations as per design specifications.
Ensure proper installation, grounding, and protection of ELV equipment.
2. Troubleshooting & Repairs
Diagnose and resolve issues with ELV systems, including faulty wiring, connectivity problems, and equipment failures.
Perform regular maintenance, testing, and inspections to ensure system reliability.
Repair or replace defective components and ensure systems are functioning correctly.
3. Testing & Commissioning
Conduct system testing and calibration to verify proper functionality.
Work with engineers to perform commissioning of ELV systems.
Ensure integration between different ELV systems for seamless operation.
4. Compliance & Safety
Follow safety guidelines and industry standards
Ensure all work complies with local regulations and project specifications.
Maintain proper documentation of work performed, including test reports and service logs.
5. Coordination & Support
Work closely with ELV engineers, contractors, and project managers.
Provide technical support and training to end-users on system operation.
Coordinate with vendors for troubleshooting and spare part replacements.
