Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Installation and Commissioning

Install, terminate, and test

ELV systems

such as:

CCTV & Surveillance Systems Access Control & Time Attendance Systems Structured Cabling & Networking Systems SMATV / IPTV Systems Public Address & Intercom Systems Lighting Control System Perform cable pulling, dressing, labeling, and termination according to drawings and standards. Mount and connect ELV panels, devices, and accessories as per approved layouts. Support in system configuration, testing, and commissioning under the supervision of engineers.

2. Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance for ELV systems. Diagnose and repair faults related to wiring, devices, and network connections. Ensure systems are operating efficiently and according to specifications. Replace or repair defective components and verify system performance after maintenance.

3. Technical and Documentation Support

Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation manuals. Prepare daily site reports, material usage logs, and update installation progress. Follow company installation standards, health & safety regulations, and manufacturer guidelines. Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to ensure timely project completion.

4. Site and Team Coordination

Assist in site surveys and prepare installation requirements. Maintain proper communication with site supervisors and project managers regarding work status. Ensure tools, test equipment, and materials are properly used and maintained. Support junior technicians and guide helpers in carrying out assigned tasks.

Skills and Qualifications

Diploma / ITI in Electrical, Electronics, or Communication Engineering. 2-5 years of experience in ELV system installation and maintenance. Good knowledge of CCTV, Access Control and Structured Cabling systems. Ability to read and understand technical drawings. Basic computer and networking knowledge. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
