Stantec is currently looking for a ELV Inspector to join our dynamic team and support on a construction supervision project of a large office building complex which will accommodate the client's administration and operation employees. This project will have related functional and supporting facility buildings in Abu Dhabi.

As an ELV (Extra Low Voltage) inspector for a consultancy firm, your main responsibilities include:

1. Conducting site visits and inspections: As an ELV inspector, you will be responsible for visiting construction sites and conducting thorough inspections to ensure that all ELV systems are installed correctly and according to specifications and approved shop drawings

2. Reviewing and approving designs: You will review ELV system designs provided by clients, ensuring they meet installation as per industry standards (TIA/NFPA 72/UAE fire Life safety code/ AMCC/SIRA etc) as well safety standard and recommendations. You will need to suggest revisions to designs that do not meet safety standards or industry guidelines.

3. Testing and commissioning: You will be required to experience in testing and commissioning ELV systems based on specification/ system functionality requirement. You must ensure that ELV systems meet required performance standards, safety and quality standards.

4. Quality Control and Assurance: You will need to verify that ELV systems are installed and maintained to meet quality standards and criteria, the responsibilities include raising the SOR and NCR which is not complying to the standard /Shop drawings/Specification/Material submittal.

5. Inspect equipment and materials: It is your responsibility to ensure that all equipment and materials used for ELV systems comply with required standards, approved material submittal and specifications.

6. Reporting: You must generate reports documenting your inspection findings, system performance test results and material quality.

7. Communication with clients and team: You will be communicating technical findings of the inspection with clients and advise them of the status of the ELV system being installed. You will also work alongside the installation team to ensure that the ELV system meets industry standards.

8. Co-ordination with other trades : You will co-ordinate with other MEP /Architectural/Civil for the integration with ELV system required as per project requirement and industry standard related to the inspection.

Overall, your role involves ensuring that ELV systems are installed safely, accurately executed and that they perform as required by current standards and guidelines. It is your duty to ensure that the system is evaluated holistically to ensure compliance from design to commissioning.

Qualifications The successful candidate must have experience in: - Inspection of the Low current installations like Voice evacuation / Public address system, Gas (Industrial) leak detection system, Door access, control system, CCTV system, Telephone Data Structural cable system, Master clock system, Disable toilet alarm system, Audio Visual system, Guest Room Management system, IP TV System, Gate Barrier, Intercoms. - Checking the functional test of all ELV systems with project specification. - Inspection of the materials, Inspections of the builders works requirements. - Witnessing for the Testing and Commissioning of the Above-mentioned Systems. - Coordinating the Electrical, ELV and Mechanical systems. - Reviewing the Progress status, and with respect to the Planning and reviewing the monthly invoice Submitted by the contractor. - Review of As Built Drawings. - Snagging and De-snagging of Electrical/ELV systems
