Stantec is currently looking for an ELV Engineer to join our dynamic team and support on a construction supervision project of a large office building complex which will accommodate the client\'s administration and operation employees. This project will have related functional and supporting facility buildings in Abu Dhabi.

JOB PURPOSE

• To ensure response to necessary construction documentation, including but not limited to review of shop drawings, RFIs, Inspections, attending construction/technical progress meeting and material submittals. Is to support the efforts of the inspection to ensure all documentation that is reviewed is than properly translated into a constructed product which meets requirements and specifications.

JOB QUALIFICATION

• Experience on Networking Design: Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), Wireless LAN, Real Time Location Services (RTLS), Tier 2 & 3 Network architectural, Switching and Routing for complex networks, Fire wall, IPS, IDS configuration, Network traffic management and traffic shaping

Experience on the network in FTTH, Bulk services for the IT system.

• Experienced in setting up and managing VOIP Systems, IP Telephony, IP Video Conferencing, Unified Communications Systems such as Jabber and MS Lync

• Experienced in Audio visual system, Background music system, IPTV, Digital signage includes of design verification, functional requirements based on the project specification, interface with 3rd party system ( Such as FAS, PMS, IPTV etc)

Experienced in Parking Guidance and parking control systems, Disable Toilet alarm system, Fire alarm and voice evacuation system, ADCD ,NFPA -72 and UAE life code compliance to the industry standards.

Experienced in security systems which is not limited to the CCTV system, Access control system ,Intrude alarm system, Gate Barrier system including the compliance of the SIRA and ADMCC regulations and have the additional knowledge knowing the VMS configuration, storage calculations, recording and failover server understanding the requirement, accordingly the required configurations.

Experienced in BMS system which includes of Sequence of operations, Data point schedules, BTL certification for the controllers, VAV application and integrations to the BMS, should have knowledge about the Electrical and HVAC system to have the integration with BMS and 3rd party system.

Experienced in Software integration with various 3rd party system to the BMS system as per project requirements.

Having additional knowledge for the Lighting control, emergency lighting, UPS .

• Experience in Installation, Testing and Commissioning all of the above system.

• Monitoring the Electrical works related to ELV and IT systems, for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual.

• Reviewing, approving, and processing all ELV and IT technical submittals.

• Prepare preliminary answers RFI\'s related to ELV and IT works.

• Coordinating and supervising the pre-installation work of selected ELV and IT activities and operations.

• Reviewing contractor\'s ELV and IT change order proposals and preparing recommendations to the Senior ELV/Electrical Engineer.

Reviewing and involving in authority approvals which is not limited to the ADCD, SIRA and ADMCC

• Liaison with the necessary sub consultants.

• Assist with the review off contractor\'s claims related to ELV and IT works and preparing recommendations for claims.

• Assist with the review off contractor\'s project record documents relevant to their discipline.

• Assist with the inspection of completed works and monitoring the start-up, testing, commissioning, and handover of the ELV and IT works.

• Perform all other duties given by MEP PM.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Ten (10) years\' experience with minimum of Five (5) Construction Administration and Healthcare project, Hospitality, Data center, and Mixed-use project experience. Middle East experience preferred.

• Minimum bachelor\'s degree in relevant disciplines: Electrical Engineering or ELV or IT technology.

• Strong technical background on ELV and IT systems.

• Good oral and written communication skills.

• Good knowledge of ELV and IT systems, products and materials.

• Good oral and written communication skills.

• Knowledge/experience in AUTO CAD.

• Good command of Microsoft Office business solution (Excel, Word).

• Ability to review and comment properly on necessary documentation.

• Excellent understanding of specifications

• Good understanding of Authority requirements.

• Complete project understanding in given discipline, from start to hand-over
