Role Overview: To lead and coordinate the schoolaEUR(TM)s approach to supporting pupils who are English Language Learners (ELL), ensuring that all children are fully included in the life of the school and have access to high-quality teaching and learning opportunities. The ELL Coordinator works closely with teachers, inclusion staff, and parents to develop and deliver effective strategies for language development, enabling every child to achieve their full potential both academically and socially. Key Responsibilities: Lead the identification, assessment, and tracking of ELL pupils across the school. Develop and deliver targeted language support programmes and interventions. Provide advice and resources to class teachers to support inclusive planning and teaching for ELL learners. Monitor the progress of ELL pupils and adjust provision accordingly. Promote inclusive classroom practices that reflect the schoolaEUR(TM)s multicultural community and celebrate linguistic diversity. Liaise effectively with parents, offering guidance on how they can support language development at home. Maintain up-to-date records, reports, and documentation as required. Contribute to school improvement planning in relation to ELL provision. Model the HES Values through all language, behaviour, and professional interactions. Take a proactive and professional approach to school life and ongoing professional development. Undertake other duties as may reasonably be requested by the Inclusion Team or Leadership Team Successful candidates will have: Minimum: High School Diploma (further qualifications in education are advantageous). Fluent English speaker with strong written and verbal communication skills. Passion for inclusive education and supporting multilingual learners. Organised, proactive, and able to lead and support colleagues. Cultural sensitivity and a commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive environment. Strong collaboration and time-management abilities. Prior experience in a school or educational setting. Experience working with ELL or students with additional learning needs.
