Key Responsibilities of an Elevator Sales Representative1. Business Development & Lead Generation
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
Generate leads through cold calling, networking, site visits, referrals, and industry contacts.
Maintain a pipeline of prospects and follow up consistently.
2. Client Consultation & Needs Assessment
Meet with clients (builders, architects, contractors, property managers) to understand project requirements.
Recommend suitable elevator solutions (passenger, freight, escalators, etc.) based on building design, usage, and budget.
Conduct site visits when necessary to gather technical specifications.
3. Proposal Development & Sales Negotiation
Prepare and present tailored proposals, technical specifications, and pricing.
Negotiate contract terms, delivery timelines, and after-sales service agreements.
Close sales deals while maintaining profitability and customer satisfaction.
4. Coordination with Technical & Engineering Teams
Work closely with design, engineering, and installation teams to ensure accurate planning and execution of projects.
Facilitate clear communication between the client and technical departments.
Assist in project scheduling and ensure deadlines are met.
5. Customer Relationship Management
Serve as the main point of contact throughout the sales cycle and installation process.
Maintain long-term relationships with clients for future upgrades, maintenance contracts, or referrals.
Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
6. Market Intelligence & Product Knowledge
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, building codes, and safety regulations.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's elevator products and services.
Provide market feedback to the product development and marketing teams.
7. Sales Reporting & Performance Tracking
Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs.
Maintain accurate records of all client interactions, sales activities, and forecast reports.
Report regularly to sales management with progress and market insights.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Technical understanding of elevator systems is an advantage.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications.
Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and customer-focused.
Familiarity with CRM tools and basic project management is a plus.
