Job Description

Job Purpose:

This position is responsible to inspect, install, diagnose, and repair various household appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, ovens, air conditioners, dishwashers, TV, and other domestic electronic equipment, ensuring quality service and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair home appliances at customer locations or service centers. Install and test new appliances to ensure proper functioning. Diagnose problems and identify the appropriate tools and parts needed for repair. Replace faulty components like motors, compressors, valves, and sensors. Calibrate and maintain appliance settings according to manufacturer specifications. Provide preventive maintenance to increase appliance efficiency and lifespan. Explain repair processes and costs to customers in a clear and respectful manner. Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and customer feedback. Ensure all safety and operational standards are met during installation and repair. Follow company policies and uphold professional behavior while on-site. Stay updated with the latest appliance technology and repair techniques.

Qualifications:

Diploma/ITI certification in Electrical, Electronics, or a related technical field. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in home appliance repair and maintenance. Proficiency in handling a wide range of domestic appliances from multiple brands. Basic computer skills for service logging and reporting.

Skills Required:

Strong diagnostic and technical problem-solving skills. Good knowledge of electrical circuits, refrigeration systems, and control systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Physical stamina to handle heavy appliances and work in confined spaces. Time management and the ability to work independently.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and maneuver heavy appliances (with assistance as required). Comfortable working in residential environments, including tight or awkward spaces. Willingness to travel locally for on-site repairs.
