Electromechanical Technician
Job Summary:
An Electromechanical Technician works on equipment that involves both electrical and mechanical systems. This role is crucial for maintaining and repairing complex machinery, automated systems, and controls.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electromechanical equipment such as motors, conveyors, pumps, and robotic systems.
  • Use electrical and electronic test equipment to diagnose problems.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, both mechanical and electrical.
  • Perform mechanical tasks (e.g., aligning components, replacing bearings, lubricating) and electrical tasks (e.g., wiring, replacing sensors, troubleshooting PLC I/O).
  • Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and improve system performance.
  • Perform predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Associate degree or diploma in Electromechanical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Strong combined knowledge of mechanical systems and electrical/electronic circuits.
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and control systems is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
