Position Overview
Parsons Corporation is hiring an experienced Electromechanical Inspector to join its Construction Supervision team for a major Rail/Metro infrastructure project in Dubai. The role involves overseeing MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) works across depot facilities, Main Power Substations (MPS), and Traction Power Substations (TPS), ensuring construction quality, safety compliance, and adherence to contract specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and inspect all MEP works including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across depot and facility structures.
  • Oversee construction inspections, testing requests, and material approvals to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Verify underground and above-ground piping systems for correct tightness, bedding, and grade.
  • Review and validate piping systems, performing P&ID checks, hydraulic pressure testing, and safety compliance reviews.
  • Inspect electrical installations for grounding, cable routing, and conformity with design and statutory standards.
  • Coordinate commissioning activities for MEP systems, ensuring testing, inspection, and final NOC completion.
  • Review and provide input on MEP shop drawings and related documentation as delegated by the Resident Engineer.
  • Monitor foundation installation and ensure correct positioning, structural integrity, and load-bearing performance.
  • Conduct ongoing inspections of painting, insulation, and coating applications to ensure proper execution.
  • Supervise construction labor and subcontractors to maintain workmanship quality and project timelines.
  • Validate equipment alignment and balancing for mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and quality documentation.
  • Assist in developing safety protocols and reviewing site safety performance reports.
  • Identify non-conformances, issue reports, and ensure prompt corrective actions are implemented.
  • Coordinate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical consistency and project objectives are met.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's or Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Construction, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience for degree holders or 7+ years for diploma holders in MEP and facility construction supervision.
  • Proven experience on major infrastructure or rail projects, including depots, substations, and facility buildings.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, materials, and construction methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
  • Certification in welding, concrete, or electrical inspection is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of site safety standards and quality control processes in large-scale projects.
  • Excellent coordination, reporting, and communication skills.
