Job Title: Electrician
Department: Maintenance / MEP
Reports To: Senior Electrician / MEP Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Electrician is a skilled tradesperson responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical power, lighting, and control systems. This role works under general supervision and is proficient in following electrical codes and blueprints.
Key Responsibilities:

• System Installation: Install conduits, wires, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components as per blueprints.
• Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine maintenance, identify potential hazards, and repair faulty wiring or electrical components.
• Troubleshooting: Use testing equipment to locate the cause of an electrical breakdown and correct it.
• Code Adherence: Ensure all installations and repairs comply with the NEC and local codes.
• Collaboration: Work alongside other tradespeople, such as mechanical technicians and carpenters, to complete projects.
• Safety: Always follow strict safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Tool Maintenance: Keep tools and equipment in good working order.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High School Diploma; completion of a recognized apprenticeship program.
• Journeyman Electrician license is typically required.
• 3-5 years of proven experience as an Electrician.
• Solid knowledge of NEC and safety standards.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Good physical condition and flexibility to work in various environments.
