Electrician Technician
Job Description
1. Installation and Maintenance
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.
Inspect and test electrical components like circuit breakers, transformers, and outlets.
Perform preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and prevent breakdowns.
2. Troubleshooting and Repairs
Diagnose electrical problems using tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and thermal imaging.
Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, relays, switches, and wiring.
Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
3. Compliance and Safety
Ensure all electrical work complies with safety codes, regulations, and company standards.
Identify and address potential electrical hazards.
Adhere to lockout/tagout procedures when working on live systems.
4. Equipment Monitoring
Monitor the performance of electrical equipment and recommend upgrades when necessary.
Test backup systems, such as generators and UPS systems, to ensure functionality.
Replace worn or outdated components to improve efficiency and safety.
5. Saving on electrical & utilities bills
Replace old lighting with energy-efficient LED fixtures.
Install motion sensors and timers to reduce unnecessary usage.
Use energy management systems to monitor and control power.
Improve power factor with correction devices to reduce waste.
Maintain and optimize HVAC and chiller systems for efficiency.
Job requirements:
High School certificate or equivlant
Electrician Certificate
Minimum 2 years experience in UAE or GCC countries in Maintenance, Facilities Management or construction field
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
Experience:
* Facility Electrician in UAE: 2 years (Preferred)
