Job Description

The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in accordance with relevant codes and safety standards. The role includes troubleshooting electrical issues, ensuring proper functioning of lighting, power distribution, and control systems, and supporting project teams in site activities.

Key Responsibilities:



Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that electrical systems comply with safety regulations and company standards. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components to locate the cause of breakdowns. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and technical diagrams. Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades to ensure timely project completion. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as multimeters and insulation resistance testers. Ensure safe working practices and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications and Skills:



Proven experience as an Electrician (minimum 2-3 years preferred). Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and testing equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. Understanding of safety procedures and legal regulations. ITI/Diploma or equivalent certification in Electrical field. Good communication and teamwork skills.
