Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced

Electrician

to perform all types of

electrical installation, maintenance, and commissioning works

at commercial sites, particularly

retail and shop fit-out projects

. The role involves complete site execution including

cable laying, tray installation, conduit work, wiring, lighting installation, distribution board (DB) installation, testing, and final energization

. The ideal candidate must be capable of reading electrical drawings, following safety standards, and ensuring that all electrical works are completed as per

ADDC/TAQA regulations

and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform complete electrical installation works at

commercial and retail shops

, offices, and small-scale commercial buildings. Install and terminate

cables, conduits, trunking, GI/HDPE pipes, and cable trays

as per approved drawings. Handle

DB installation

, including mounting, glanding, dressing, and cable termination. Carry out

wiring and connection

of lighting, power sockets, switches, and small power equipment. Read and interpret

single line diagrams (SLD)

, shop drawings, and load schedules. Conduct

testing and commissioning

of electrical systems including insulation resistance and continuity tests. Ensure

compliance with ADDC, TAQA, and local authority standards

during installation and inspection. Coordinate with engineers, foremen, and other site staff to ensure smooth work progress. Identify and report material requirements, site issues, or potential risks to the supervisor. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all

HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment)

standards. Perform troubleshooting and rectification of electrical faults and ensure proper system operation.

Qualifications and Skills:

ITI/Diploma or equivalent certification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technician course. Minimum

3-5 years of experience

in commercial or retail shop electrical installation works. Strong knowledge of

LV electrical systems

, DB installation, cable routing, and wiring standards. Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and specifications. Experience in

ADDC/TAQA approval processes

preferred. Good understanding of

safety regulations and procedures

. Ability to work independently and in a team environment under tight deadlines.
