Job Purpose:

The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The role requires ensuring all electrical works are carried out in compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults to ensure efficient operation. Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance. Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams. Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Install lighting systems, switches, sockets, circuit breakers, and distribution boards. Repair or replace faulty wiring, cables, and fixtures. Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and contractors to complete projects. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and service reports. Respond promptly to emergency electrical issues and breakdowns.

Qualifications and Skills:

Diploma or technical certification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Proven experience as an electrician in a technical services or facilities management company. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety procedures. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Skilled in using electrical tools, instruments, and testing devices. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physically fit and able to work in different environments (indoor/outdoor, heights, confined spaces).
