Job Title: Electrician

Department: Projects / Electrical / Site Operations / Maintenance

Reports To: Electrical Supervisor / Foreman / Project Engineer

Job Purpose:

The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in buildings, temporary structures, and project sites, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, electrical standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Install electrical wiring, conduits, trunking, DBs, switches, sockets, lighting fixtures, and related accessories. Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and layout plans. Perform cable pulling, dressing, termination, and labeling as per standards. Install and maintain power, lighting, earthing, and low-voltage systems. Test electrical installations using appropriate testing equipment and report defects. Identify and rectify electrical faults safely and efficiently. Ensure proper earthing and grounding of all electrical systems. Coordinate with other trades to avoid clashes and ensure smooth progress. Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good condition. Assist engineers and supervisors during inspections and commissioning.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

Follow UAE electrical regulations, site safety rules, and company HSE policies. Use appropriate PPE and insulated tools at all times. Ensure Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures are followed where applicable. Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, or near misses.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum

2-5 years

of experience as an Electrician in construction, or maintenance projects. ITI / Trade Certificate or equivalent qualification preferred. Knowledge of LV electrical systems and basic testing procedures. Ability to read and understand electrical drawings. Physically fit and able to work at heights and in site conditions.

Working Conditions:

Site-based role May require night shifts, overtime, or weekend work Exposure to electrical hazards, heights, and confined spaces
Employment Type: Full-Time / Project-Based

Basic English, Hindi/Urdu communication skills
