The electrician will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to ensure reliable and safe operation of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and/or industrial projects in line with UAE regulations and company standards.?
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, conduits, distribution boards, lighting, sockets, and related equipment in buildings and on construction sites.?
Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, load schedules, and technical diagrams to determine wiring layouts and material requirements.?
Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in circuits, panels, breakers, and equipment using appropriate testing tools and meters, and carry out corrective actions.?
Perform routine inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance of electrical systems, including panels, breakers, control panels, and emergency/standby power systems.?
Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant UAE/local authority regulations, project specifications, and safety standards (e.g., DEWA/SEWA/FEWA/ADDC requirements where applicable).?
Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades (MEP, civil, HVAC) to complete tasks as per schedule and report material, tool, or safety issues promptly.?
Follow company HSE procedures, use proper PPE, and maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.?
Qualifications & Experience
High school certificate or equivalent; technical/vocational certificate or diploma in electrical trades is preferred.?
2-5 years of proven experience as an electrician in construction, MEP, or facilities maintenance (UAE/GCC experience preferred).?
Knowledge of UAE electrical codes, local authority requirements, and safe work practices for low-voltage installations.?
For senior roles or contractor licensing, an electrical diploma/engineering qualification and additional years of experience may be required as per authority criteria.?
Skills & Competencies
Strong technical skills in electrical installation, wiring, circuit troubleshooting, and panel work.?
Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, and manufacturer documentation.?
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing instruments (multimeters, clamp meters, etc.).?
Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.?
Attention to detail, safety-conscious mindset, and willingness to work on shifts or overtime as per project needs.?
License / Certifications (Optional Section)
Valid UAE/Emirate-specific electrician certification or competency card as required by local authorities or clients (e.g., ADDC/QCC certified electrician in Abu Dhabi, DEWA approval in Dubai, etc.).?
Basic first aid and HSE training certificates are an advantage.
