Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and systems (lighting, distribution panels, motor drives, control systems) to reduce unplanned downtime. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in wiring, circuits, control systems, and machinery. Install new electrical wiring, panels, circuit breakers, conduits, and other infrastructure for equipment additions or expansions. Maintain and repair lighting systems (warehouse lighting, emergency lights), power outlets, and power distribution boards. Work on motor systems: repair or replace motors, starters, variable frequency drives (VFD), sensors, and control panels. Inspect, test, and certify wiring, electrical systems, and components per local electrical codes / safety standards. Respond to electrical emergencies (power failures, short circuits) and provide quick resolution. Collaborate with other maintenance teams (mechanical, HVAC) to coordinate work, particularly when upgrading or installing integrated systems. Maintain documentation: work orders, maintenance logs, risk assessments, inspection records, and electrical schematics. Ensure all work is done in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., lock-out/tag-out, PPE usage). Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase energy efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize system performance. Assist with audits, safety inspections, and regulatory compliance related to the warehouse's electrical infrastructure. Train or mentor junior electricians or maintenance staff, where applicable.
