Job Description

The Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems and equipment within the property. The role ensures that all electrical operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with local regulations and company standards, contributing to the smooth functioning of hotel facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on all electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, control panels, and appliances. Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform repairs to ensure minimal downtime of equipment and guest areas. Inspect electrical installations, wiring, and fixtures for safety and compliance with relevant codes and standards. Perform routine checks on transformers, circuit breakers, motors, and other electrical components. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and breakdown calls in guest rooms, kitchens, and public areas. Ensure all electrical work is completed efficiently and safely, following established procedures and safety protocols. Assist in energy conservation initiatives and monitor the proper functioning of electrical meters and power-saving devices. Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance, repairs, and inventory of tools and spare parts. Support Engineering team during special projects, renovations, and new installations. Coordinate with contractors and suppliers when external services are required. Ensure all tools and equipment are kept in good working condition and stored properly after use. Comply with all company policies, health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Technical diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a hotel, resort, or facility maintenance environment. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control circuits, and safety regulations. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics. Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical faults. Good communication and teamwork skills. High attention to detail, safety awareness, and problem-solving ability. Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
