The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure reliable and safe power distribution across facilities. The role requires strong technical expertise, attention to safety, and the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, switches, outlets, and lighting systems.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical panels, distribution boards, and control systems.
Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and company maintenance protocols.
Maintain and update records of electrical repairs, maintenance activities, and inspection logs.
Coordinate with maintenance teams, supervisors, and site managers for system upgrades or emergency repairs.
Conduct regular testing of fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and power backup systems (e.g., generators, UPS).
Assist in energy-saving initiatives and ensure efficient electrical usage within facilities.
Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and restore power in a safe, timely manner.
