Job Description

Job Purpose:

Responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and testing electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safe and efficient operations in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and equipment in accordance with regulations and safety standards. Diagnose electrical issues using appropriate testing devices and resolve faults efficiently. Inspect and test electrical systems, components, and appliances for safety, functionality, and compliance. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment. Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics. Ensure proper functioning of lighting, power distribution, control systems, and emergency backup systems. Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures at all times. Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and maintenance schedules. Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly and efficiently. Coordinate with other technicians, engineers, and contractors as required.

Key Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred. Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in facilities, construction, or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards, and local electrical codes. Ability to use electrical testing equipment and tools effectively. Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Physical fitness and ability to work in varying environments (indoors, outdoors, at heights, etc.). Flexibility to work in shifts and respond to on-call emergencies.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of PLCs, control systems, or automation (if relevant to your industry). Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, or other MEP services. Teamwork and communication skills.
