Job Description

Develop and design fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and emergency lighting, tailored to meet client specifications and safety regulations. Create detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation using CAD software. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for fire protection systems, including detection, alarm, suppression, and safety equipment. Analyze project specifications, drawings, and requirements to determine material, labor, and overhead costs. Ensure designs adhere to industry codes, regulations, and client requirements. Oversee the installation and commissioning of fire protection systems, including alarms, sprinklers, and control panels. Collaborate with installation teams to ensure systems are installed correctly and operationally sound. Perform system testing and validation to confirm compliance with design specifications and safety standards. Attend regular maintenance and inspection of electrical and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to fire safety systems in a timely manner. Implement corrective actions and upgrades to improve system efficiency and reliability. Ensure all engineering practices and system installations comply with local, state, and national fire safety regulations. Perform safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Stay updated with changes in fire safety codes and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance. Manage engineering projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports and technical evaluations. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met. Provide technical support and guidance to clients, field technicians, and other engineering staff. Develop and deliver training programs on system operation and maintenance to clients and team members. Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in fire safety systems and processes. Research and implement new technologies and practices to enhance system performance and efficiency.
