In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of electrical equipment, assisting various departments, and ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, and quality protocols. Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the proper maintenance of all electrical equipment.
Repair and maintain electrical systems and machinery, ensuring their continued operation.
Provide support to mechanics and assist production department employees when requested.
Conduct regular inspections of electrical equipment and drives, ensuring checklists are updated accordingly.
Perform overhauls on motors as required, ensuring optimal performance.
Maintain, check, and repair company telephones, CCTV systems, and lighting installations.
Ensure the routine greasing and upkeep of motors and electrical systems.
Safely isolate or connect electrical connections as required for maintenance or upgrades.
Perform maintenance on electrical panels as required, ensuring safety and operational efficiency.
Update and maintain daily power consumption records, tracking electrical usage and efficiency.
Adhere to all health and safety protocols outlined in the company's integrated management system to maintain a safe and hazard-free environment.
Follow environmental policies, focusing on reducing waste, conserving energy, and maintaining a clean and sustainable work environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience as an Electrical Technician, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and manuals.
Familiarity with safety regulations and environmental policies.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification or formal training in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in a paper mill or similar manufacturing environment (UAE experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of motor maintenance and overhauls is highly desirable.
Must be currently residing in the UAE.
