The Electrical Technician for Machines is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and components in industrial machinery. They ensure that equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably to support manufacturing or production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in various machinery and equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical faults and malfunctions using diagnostic tools and techniques.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize machinery performance.
Maintain detailed maintenance records and report on equipment status.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
Order and replace electrical parts and components as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an electrical technician or similar role in an industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, PLCs, and machinery.
Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics.
Knowledge of safety standards and electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC).
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
High school diploma or technical certification in electrical technology.
