Electrical Technician

Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Technician to handle the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical energy meters, MCCBs, and automation systems. This hands-on role involves extensive site work, troubleshooting, and coordination with engineers and project teams to ensure safe and reliable electrical installations.
Key Responsibilities
Install, wire, test, and commission energy meters (LV panels, smart meters, power meters). Assist in the installation and maintenance of MCCBs, ACBs, and distribution panels. Perform cable termination, panel wiring, and labeling according to standards and drawings. Support PLC systems with field wiring, I/O checks, loop testing, and basic troubleshooting. Assist with SCADA system installation, communication setup, and device integration. Conduct site inspections, fault finding, and corrective maintenance. Support commissioning, FAT/SAT, and testing procedures. Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and HSE requirements. Maintain service reports, checklists, and as-built documentation. Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and supervisors during installations and testing.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or ITI/Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 2-5 years of hands-on experience as an Electrical Technician. Strong experience with energy meters and electrical panels. Knowledge of MCCBs and protection devices.
