Job Summary: Electrical Technician Balancing Facility for JASC, Generator workshop, Dubai. You will be responsible for operation, assembly, and electrical maintenance of balancing facility Electrical Maintenance and troubleshooting of panels in the shop.



Roles and Responsibilities

• Preventive and breakdown maintenance of balancing facility electrical & mechanical system and all auxiliaries
• Assembly & disassembly of rotor in spin pit
• Operation of balancing facility
• Perform all necessary electrical testing and inspection activity of rotors and exciter
• Periodic (yearly, monthly, weekly) inspections and maintenance of the balancing facility auxiliaries and all workshop electrical equipment\xe2\x80\x99s
• Maintain all electrical & instruments in balancing facility and generator workshop and tools in inspected, calibrated & working condition
• Trouble shooting of electrical panels and equipment
• Installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Support of winding team
• Maintain daily logs for balancing facility
• Preparation of job and test reports
• Other activities as assigned by superiors

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Experience in carrying out preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment, panels, and PLCs
• Working experience in a production and/or workshop environment
• Sound knowledge of operation various electrical equipment
• Experience in carrying out electrical measurements and testing of Generator rotor
• Good knowledge of common IT office tools
• Independent execution of electrical testing of rotor and exciter
• Maintenance of electrical equipment as per technical instructions (procedures)
• Ability to communicate in English both verbal and written
• Willing to work shifts and work on site

Desired Qualifications & Characteristics

• Diploma in electrical engineering or equivalent is preferred
• Fluency in English is strongly preferred
• Knowledge of assembly and disassembly of rotor in spin pit
• Acts independently but team oriented
• Flexible, loyal, accurate and reliable
• Multicultural sensitivity (international environment)
• Stress resistant
• Good grasping ability and quick learner
