The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, or industrial environments. The role ensures all work is performed in accordance with relevant codes and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, test, and commission electrical systems, wiring, lighting, and control systems.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices and repair tools.
Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
Ensure compliance with national and local electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Monitor electrical systems performance and provide technical support during breakdowns.
Maintain accurate records of all work performed and materials used.
Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other technicians during installations or upgrades.
Respond to emergency calls for electrical failures and conduct root-cause analysis.
Assist in energy-saving and system upgrade initiatives.
