Job Description
TE Connectivity's Quality Assurance Teams are responsible for all or part of an organization's Quality Management System, including conformance and continuous improvement initiatives. They work on systemic evaluation of products, services, facilities, manufacturing or business processes, to ensure that standards of quality are being met. Develop and implement quality plans, programs and procedures using quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. They reviews, analyze and report on quality discrepancies, investigate problems and executes quality audits, and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. The team works closely with manufacturing, engineering, customers, or suppliers and subcontractors to ensure requirements are met.
Long Description
- Assure the major Quality milestones in the New Product Introduction for project types 1 and 2 are well executed, completed, and early involvement of the factory (customer requirement, product process development assurance, verification, validation, and lessons learned)
- Quality approval in the New Product Introduction business gates for project types 1 and 2, and risk management.
- Assure global Engineering Changes and Product process Transfers are well executed and completed according to IND BU process and customer requirements agreement(verification, approval, validation, and lessons learned).
- Ensure the fulfilment of IND QMS and critical process requirements such as, but not limited to APQP, Change Management, Lean initiatives, lessons learned, read-across, and closure of non-conformities found.
- Assure and support the standardization process of Quality core tools and guidelines in manufacturing, the implementation, and correct usage in the factories.
- Develop and execute key quality strategies activities for the sub-vertical in compliance with IND BU Corporate policies, goals, and values, driving correction of concerns and continuous improvement for customer satisfaction, manufacturing Quality, and cost reduction through KPI performance (PPM, CoPQ, TEOA KPI’s, ….)
- Provide leadership for the quality organization in manufacturing, including shop floor frequent presence and reviews, coaching, developing, and training the team members, and motivating staff members to meet the objectives and targets.
- Oversea quality claims from customers, including reviewing and facilitating root cause investigations of inhouse, tactical suppliers, and other TE products
What your background should look like:
- Engineer with university degree or equivalent with subject area: electrical engineering, mechanical engineering
- + 10 years of experience in various Quality and Operational assignments
- At least 3 years of Managerial Experience
- Excellent problem solving skills, analytical skills, and communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and continues improvement attitude
- Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to form strong Teams and demonstrate strong leadership skills
- Ability to create competitive strategies and plans, broad knowledge of strategies and tactics of the marketplace, knows trends
- Strong ability to take decisions
- Statistical knowledge (Six Sigma, SPC, MSA, AIAG and other statistical standards)
- Good English knowledge, verbal and in writing (also for presenting)
- Certified VDA 6.3 , IATF TS 16949 auditor
- Green / black Belt (good to have)
