Job Summary
The Electrical Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing electrical engineering activities within projects to ensure completion in accordance with scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements. The role involves close coordination with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, vendors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee electrical engineering activities for assigned projects
Review electrical drawings, layouts, single-line diagrams, and specifications
Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and instrumentation teams
Ensure electrical works comply with project requirements, codes, and standards
Monitor project progress, schedules, and costs related to electrical scope
Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, and method statements
Support procurement by evaluating technical bids and vendor documentation
Supervise installation of electrical systems at site
Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems
Identify technical risks and implement corrective actions
Prepare progress reports, technical documents, and as-built drawings
Ensure compliance with HSE policies and electrical safety standards
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
5 years of relevant experience as an Electrical Project Engineer is mandatory
Experience in construction, EPC, power plants, substations, or industrial projects
Knowledge of international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, BS, NFPA)
Experience with project management and document control systems
