Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical engineering and design, with proficiency in various software tools and methodologies. This role involves designing electrical systems, creating schematics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success. The Electrical Designer will play a crucial role in developing innovative solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards.

Duties

Design and develop electrical systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with NEC standards. Create detailed schematics and layouts using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks. Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve design issues effectively. Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate electrical designs with mechanical systems. Utilize FPGA, SoC, and programmable logic controllers for system design and implementation. Perform signal processing and debugging tasks to ensure optimal performance of electrical systems. Engage in project scheduling to meet deadlines and manage resources efficiently. Develop firmware for embedded systems using languages such as C++, Python, Perl, and MATLAB. Conduct vision inspection system evaluations and soldering tasks as required. Maintain documentation of design processes, changes, and specifications throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in Kahramaa High Voltage Substation projects. Proven experience in electrical design with a strong understanding of PCB layout and surface mount technology. Familiarity with quantum engineering concepts is a plus. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Simulink, SystemVerilog, SolidWorks, Revit, MicroStation, and other relevant CAD tools. Strong mechanical knowledge to support interdisciplinary collaboration. Experience with ARM architecture and Arduino platforms is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis effectively. Strong scripting skills for automation tasks; experience with Python or MATLAB is preferred. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment. Strong communication skills to convey technical information clearly to stakeholders.
