We are looking for an Electrical Plant Technician to join our Contract Delivery team in Muscat, Oman The successful candidate will join a team offer specialized contract delivery team. In this position you are reporting to Maintenance Engineer, Electrical, who, in turn, is reporting to "Maintenance Manager" .

Your role and responsibilities: As an Electrical Plant Technician, your work will include the below tasks: Responsible for all plant equipment electrical maintenance within planned time frames. Expertise in using tools, portable machine tools, calibration tools etc. Ensure all plant equipment are healthy by providing quality maintenance. Inspect completed work to ensure that maintenance completed correctly, and machinery/equipment conform to specifications and safety standards. Implement the maintenance procedures and working routines. Resources are used effectively and that work schedules, targets are met. Monitor the condition of maintenance equipment, materials, parts and tools, ensure those are maintained according to applicable guidelines and policies, take corrective actions when needed. Assisting supervisor in problem-solving and Root cause analysis for all plant equipment. Rectify Electrical faults under the guidance of an Electrical Maintenance Engineer. Assist supervisor in preparing Maintenance Reports. Assist in Incident reporting, analysis, investigations and action plans implementation. Assist in Spares/consumables/tools procurement planning. Suggest and implement improvements. Ensure plant performance targets and customer contractual obligations are achieved consistently in own responsibility area. Ensure that the work is executed at the plant according to Wärtsilä and customer Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines. - Responsible for the effective implementation of permit-to work, lockout & tag out systems in order to protect personnel and equipment. Audits compliance & action plans implementation Prepared to work in shifts (including night) and in Operations whenever necessary. Competent in emergency preparedness and take appropriate actions when needed. Responsible for good housekeeping and cleanliness of all plant equipment. Maintaining good teamwork and inter-personnel relationships within and with other department personnel.

Requirements for the position: ITI passed out with minimum 12 years of Experience, preferably on Wartsila Engines. OR The Candidate should be Diploma holder with minimum 8 years of Experience, preferably on Wartsila Engines. Should essentially possess good hands-on exposure of electrical systems of Engine based power plants. Able to utilize troubleshooting skills to resolve the problems, at hand. Ready to attend the problems in the plant, whenever required, beyond the working hrs to fulfil the contractual commitments of the employer with the customer.
