Responsibilities:
Check the operation, adjust, replace, repair, configure, calibrate and maintain the Area equipment to ensure its efficient operation and availability Carry out the preventive and predictive, breakdown maintenance program (calibration, inspections, cleaning, adjustment) Repair breakdowns Ensure high quality standards Maintenance of electric motors, variable speed drives, E3 plus relays, Electro magnetic brakes and MCC Maintenance of the heavy industrial equipment (eg cranes) Procedures to calibrate the load cell, pressure transmitter, level transmitter and other related instruments Procedures to execute cable jointing, including actioning cable lying at different levels HV/MV/LV switch gears, control circuits and trouble-shooting HV/LV motor repair, overhauling and maintenance The Job Holder must be able to independently read and understand electrical single line diagrams to enable efficient problem-solving Make technical drawings as required In Smelter Maintenance, Allen Bradley PLC and drives knowledge is essential. The Job Holder must be able to read the program and understand the logic and carry out troubleshooting. In Central Maintenance this knowledge is desirable, but not essential.
Qaualification:
* Diploma in Electrical or Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering.
