Job Description

Job Purpose: To perform Electrical maintenance work on the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant during Refueling outages. Awareness of and adherence to the Nuclear Safety Standards, Quality Assurance Standards, Health and Safety Standards and Environmental Protection Standards is essential. KEY ACTIVITIES Familiar and experience working with the following Components:

• Breakers

• Relays

• Batteries

• Contactors

• Actuators

• Motors

• Transformers

• Generators

• Switchboards

• Inverters & Chargers

• Lighting

Work will vary by outage scope but involves:

• Breaker refurbishment & functional tests

• Battery tests and replacement

• Contactor tests and refurbishment

• Maintenance of motors (overhauls, bearings, lubrication and fans)

• Elementary motor tests (MCSA and MCA)

• Actuator functional tests, repair/replacement of actuators

• Transformer Visual Inspection and Insulation Testing

• Switchboard Inspections and Panel Services

• Inspect, Clean, Test and replace Inverters, chargers, lights

• Preventative Maintenance

• Corrective Maintenance

• Major Overhauls and Repairs

• Minor Modifications.

• Surveillance Tests and Periodic Tests when required to support Plant Maintenance

Skills
Qualifications and Work Experience

• In possession of a "Technician" certificate or equivalent certification

• Outage Experience experience is a plus

Basic Qualifications (Must have MOST of the following)

• Electrical Worker

• Electrical Drawings

• Use of Electrical Hand Tools

• Perform Cable Connections and Termination

• Measuring and Test Equipment for Electrical

• Perform Bolting/Torqueing

• Maintain Lighting System (Plant, MCR, RSR)
