With airport traffic growth forecast to outstrip capacity our collaborative Jacobs team is busier than ever providing Technical Advisory, Program Management and Design Engineering solutions for a number of high-profile Aviation projects. We offer the unique opportunity to work on Airport projects from planning and design to construction and operational readiness. We have recently awarded to provide detailed engineering services of terminal and other landside facilities of an iconic and futuristic Airport project. The project is located on Saudi’s west coast and is part of the larger Red Sea project and tourism development. Our scope also includes Technical Advisory services and interface management of various construction contracts. We are looking for dynamic and result oriented professional to be part of Technical Advisory services team to lead shop drawing reviews, approval of material submissions, review and approval of all change requests to be submitted by the various contractors that could impact the design and support the client with managing the various interfaces and resolving any conflict. As a Electrical Lead, you will have the opportunity leading and delivering significant portions of scope of the Red Sea Aiport Landside comprising of iconic main terminal building, ancillary buildings, air traffic tower, car parking, utility hub and other associated facilities.
You will be responsible for leading a team that is managing the technical, procurement, commercial, risk and opportunities management, safety / security and quality aspects of the Airport Landside packages across all disciplines, systems and interfaces. You will review of the design/shop drawings carried out by the Contractor to ensure that the design intent and quality are maintained. The Electrical Lead shall provide comments where necessary and provide confirmation of the compliance of the design. You will respond to the Contractor's design requests for information (RFI) and prepare timely written responses. You will be responsible for design, technical integration and assurance that supports the commercial delivery of projects for both shell and core, fit-out delivery phases. You will be in a key role reporting to the Technical Advisory services senior leadership team, the role also entails being part of a team that enhance the client’s personnel in key roles, with a reporting line that may also include client employees and staff. You will lead an integrated team and collaborate closely with the client on the delivery of the Redsea Airport Landside. You will have the opportunity to participate in client meeting so that you can get a comprehensive understanding of the client’s requirements and brief which will allow you to successfully coordinate and manage the multi-disciplinary consulting teams. You will have autonomy over establishing a strong safety culture by overseeing and supporting risk mitigation. You will be responsible for assisting the Project Director in managing procurement and contract management activities, change control, assuring timely and accurate project reporting, by driving quality assurance leading to successful and timely handover and operation of the Airport landside facilities.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
As a successful candidate you will have a degree from a recognised university in an appropriate field such as Engineering, or Construction Management or equivalent. You will have experience in Aviation / Transportation Infrastructure Delivery. You must have significant experience directing the planning, design, and construction of large multi-discipline aviation projects, with high degrees of technical complexity, and involving a large number of programme /project staff. You will have experience of providing client design leadership to multi-disciplinary design consultant teams and construction delivery teams of complex aviation programmes and projects is essential. You should also have experience of managing small teams of design managers on large complex transportation / aviation programmes Jacobs. A world where you can.
