Electrical Field Service Engineer(vfd Specialist)
Job Description
Install and commission new VFD systems, ensuring compliance with all technical specifications and safety standards.
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services on VFDs to ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of the equipment.
Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers for VFD-related issues, including diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair.
Implement VFD upgrades, retrofit solutions, and customization of systems as per customer requirements.
Conduct performance tests and calibrations to ensure VFD systems are operating within the desired parameters.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, service activities, and parts used. Generate detailed service reports and technical documentation.
Provide training to customers on the proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of VFD systems.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and OEM guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Proven experience in servicing and troubleshooting Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). Familiarity with a wide range of VFD brands and models. Experience with both low-voltage and medium-voltage VFDs. Certification and training in VFD operation, maintenance, and repair.
Additional Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and technical support. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. In-depth knowledge of electrical circuits, motor control systems, and VFD functionality. Flexibility to travel to customer sites as required.
Additional Requirements
Valid driver's license for traveling to and from customer locations. Availability to work on-call for emergency service requests.
