Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced

Electrical Engineer

to join our contracting team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have

3 years of proven experience

working within a local MEP/Civil contracting environment, demonstrating expertise in project execution, site supervision, and compliance with local regulations and authority requirements (e.g., DEWA, SEWA, ADDC). This role is critical for ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of electrical systems for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Management:

Oversee all on-site electrical works, ensuring they align with approved design specifications, project timelines, and budget constraints. Coordinate with the project manager, other engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Civil), and subcontractors to manage workflow and resolve site issues promptly. Prepare and manage material submittals, technical queries (TQs), and requests for information (RFIs).

Site Supervision & Quality Control:

Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of all electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, low-current systems, fire alarms, and earthing/lightning protection. Conduct regular site inspections to maintain

high quality of workmanship

and enforce site safety protocols.

Technical & Design Review:

Review electrical drawings, specifications, and BOQs (Bills of Quantities) to ensure constructability, optimization, and compliance. Witness factory and site acceptance tests (FAT/SAT) for major electrical equipment.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.

Experience:

A minimum of

3 years of continuous professional experience

as an Electrical Engineer within a

contracting company in the UAE

.

Technical Proficiency:

Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, installation practices, and testing procedures. Familiarity with relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).
