Job Description
Preferred Qualification
- Experience in large-scale mission critical facilities and their electrical/mechanical infrastructure Testing & Commissioning
- ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Design review of Electrical/ELV systems & drawings.
- Compile reports for the electrical test engineers and issue a daily report to the Commissioning Project Manager
- Independently, support the team during design and construction stages of project lead the electrical design of complex projects.
- Experience in Estimating, Electrical design, Operation and Commissioning of substations, switchgear, ATP/ATS, emergency power systems and their control systems, power monitoring, and electrical protection
- Working knowledge of broad range of electrical systems is preferred, including power system design, fire alarm design, lighting design, load flow studies, communications design, grounding design and equipment selection
- Experience in Hands on testing with minimal supervision is preferred.
- General understanding of Uptime specifications and requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- A minimum of 7 years of work experience in data center/critical infrastructure commissioning experience
- Having an Uptime ATD certificate is an advantage
- Experience in medium voltage and low voltage electrical power generation, distribution, protection, and control equipment vendors and products.
- Experience with industry standards, building codes and safety standards including NEC, NETA, ANSI, IEEE, NFPA, UL, UFC and UBC.
- Experience with high voltage (100kV300kV) substation design, medium voltage (2KV-40KV) distribution and protection, mission critical power distribution protection and automation, generators, UPS, Building Management System, and electrical safety programs.
- Dubai: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Required)
