Prepare
electrical drawings, load calculations, cable sizing, and single-line diagrams
(SLDs).
Oversee
installation, commissioning, and maintenance
of electrical panels, MCCs, pumps, compressors, and lighting systems.
Conduct
risk assessments and safety inspections
of electrical installations in hazardous (Ex-rated) areas.
Ensure all electrical works comply with
UAE Civil Defense
,
DEWA
, and
NFPA / IEC / BS
standards.
Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with maintenance teams for corrective and preventive actions.
Prepare and maintain
technical documentation, reports, and as-built drawings
.
Support HSE initiatives and ensure electrical safety standards are integrated into daily operations.
Collaborate with mechanical, instrumentation, and HSE teams to ensure system reliability and safety.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
(from an accredited university).
Minimum 3-7 years of relevant experience
in the
LPG, oil & gas, or energy sector
within the UAE or GCC.
In-depth knowledge of
hazardous area classification
and
electrical safety in gas environments
.
Proficiency in
AutoCAD, ETAP, and electrical design software
.
Familiarity with
UAE regulatory authorities
(DEWA, Civil Defense, Municipality standards).
Strong communication and documentation skills
in English
Ability to work independently and manage multiple site projects simultaneously.
Valid UAE
driving license
preferred.
