Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer with experience in

testing and commissioning of electrical systems

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all installed systems meet operational, safety, and performance standards before handover. This includes hands-on testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and coordination with other engineering disciplines.

Experience

Conduct

testing and commissioning

of electrical systems such as transformers, switchgear (LV/HV), control panels, protection systems, cables, and earthing. Perform

pre-commissioning checks

, continuity testing, insulation resistance testing, and functional testing. Ensure

compliance with project specifications, electrical codes (e.g., IEC, IS), and safety standards

. Prepare

test reports, commissioning protocols

, and as-built documentation. Coordinate with design, installation, QA/QC, and safety teams for smooth commissioning activities. Troubleshoot and resolve any

electrical faults or non-conformities

during the commissioning process. Provide technical support during

site acceptance testing (SAT)

and

client handover

processes. Supervise and guide subcontractors or junior engineers involved in the testing activities.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering. 2-6 years of relevant experience in

electrical commissioning

, preferably in infrastructure, power, utilities, or manufacturing sectors. Hands-on experience with

testing instruments

such as multimeters, insulation testers, primary/secondary injection kits, relay testers, etc. Good understanding of

electrical drawings, single line diagrams (SLD), protection schemes

, and equipment datasheets. Familiarity with safety practices,

permit to work systems

, and LOTO procedures. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in site conditions. Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
