JOB TITLE: SENIOR ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER 1. Job Summary We\'re currently seeking SENIORElectrical Design Engineer to join our Team.
The Electrical Engineer - will support major design and construction projects including performing electrical engineering design, calculations, drafting, supervising construction and commissioning stages, interfacing with clients customers, consultants, and construction firms. 2. Responsibilities: A. Design

• Responsible for the preparation of electrical design calculations, drawings, specifications, and tender documents for the design projects.
• Responsible for the participation in the progress and coordination meetings of the design projects and the preparation of the meeting records.
• Liaison and coordination with all applicable Local Authority Departments to obtain approval on design projects.
• Review of works produced by the electrical engineers and the necessary coordination with other discipline/Engineers as applicable for the continuity of the design projects.
• Responsible for the design review of the electrical services.
• Provide and coordinate electrical design output and assist the Associate Director
• Develops probable construction cost estimates for projects within the department.
• Prepares complex design computations in quantity estimates.
• Recommends appropriate actions to ensure compliance with all local regulations.
• Significant-level exercise of judgement is required on details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptions of engineering alternatives.
• Preparing technical proposals and reports.

B. Site Supervision

• Implement the site supervision quality procedures, and review submission requirements of the project, along with the MEP contractor.
• Review all construction documents and highlight any design and contractual discrepancies with site team.
• Regularly attend site technical coordination meetings with Contractor
• Review and forward any comments on all submittals including contractor design drawings, shop drawings, materials and alternative proposals submitted by contractors.
• Extend the maximum possible effort to avoid contractor(s) claims for cost and/or delay.
• Ensure that all statutory authority NOC\xe2\x80\x99s / permits / design approvals are available on site for construction.
• Ensure that the main contractor and nominated MEP contractor coordinate with all concerned authorities departments and ensure that their requirements are adequately and satisfactorily incorporated.
• Conduct regular (daily) site visits and supervise, certify the installation of electrical services ensuring compliance with the contract documents.
• Raise non-conformance notices (NCNs)/reports; site inspections notices (SINs) identify quality deficiencies in conjunction with the site team.
• Inspect the mock-up, permanent works, on-site and off-site materials to be used in the project and organize field and laboratory tests, conducted by others, on construction materials to ascertain their compliance with the specifications and determine the acceptability for use on the project.
• Obtain samples and quotations as required for finalization of any PS/PC Items.
• Witness the testing and commissioning of all the mechanical / electrical equipment and sign off the relevant documents for acceptance.
• Verify the accuracy of the contractor\xe2\x80\x99s \xe2\x80\x9cAs-Built\xe2\x80\x9d drawings reflecting in detail the as-built conditions and approve the As-Built drawings.
• Review and approve the contractor\xe2\x80\x99s operations & maintenance manuals.
• Liaise with the Statutory Authorities and follow up all final inspection and approvals as required.
• Carry out the final inspection for certification of final completion and handing over of the works.

3. Minimum Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Electrical design and site supervision preferably in engineering consulting firm.
• Knowledge and hand on experience in AutoCAD, MS Office and other design software.
• Candidate with Revit back ground will have preference.

4. Preferred Qualifications

• A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized and accredited institution
• Accreditation to operate as an Electrical Engineer in Dubai from local authorities.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate:

• Autocad: 5 years (Required)
