Responsibilities:
- Prepare electrical engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, designs, specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
- You may be asked to prepare detailed requisitions for electrical equipment and related materials as well as review supplier drawing submittals.
- Building modifications comply with electrical code requirements and original design intent for the facility and your abilities to s upport cost estimating for electrical related scopes of work.
- Assist Resident Engineer/ARE. Follow up construction activities at site.
- Ensure the Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s adherence to Construction documents and latest Authorities\xe2\x80\x99 regulations.
- Assist in reviewing Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s Submissions (shop drawings, Materials, RFI, etc.).
- Provide all necessary on-site direction.
- Support in supervising site inspection staff as per Resident Engineer/ARE\xe2\x80\x99s directions.
- Check measure of work done.
- Observe site safety practices.
- Report back as necessary to the Resident Engineer/ARE.
- Monitor contractor\xe2\x80\x99s resource allocation.
- Assist in reviewing the project\xe2\x80\x99s close out documents.
- Act positively and participate in all health and safety issues at site, as required by the Resident Engineer/ARE, and project Safety Representative.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years related work experience as an Electrical Engineer
- Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related field) from an accredited institution
- Experience shall be focused on Dubai and extensive experience with DEWA standards and process
- Experience in Community projects located in Dubai who is familiar with DEWA process for 11kv and LV works
- Able to communicate with DEWA on daily basis for site works
