Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified

UPDA-licensed and QCDD-approved Electrical Engineer

to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical design, installation, testing, commissioning, and compliance with Qatar Civil Defence Department (QCDD) requirements, and industry standards. The role involves overseeing project execution, ensuring safety compliance, preparing technical documentation, and coordinating with consultants, contractors, and authorities.

1. Site Supervision & Project Execution

Supervise and monitor electrical works at site to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.

QCDD Compliance & Approvals

Prepare and submit documentation for QCDD approvals, including fire alarm, emergency lighting, and related life safety systems. Attend QCDD inspections and ensure rectification of any comments. Maintain updated knowledge of QCDD standards, processes, and regulatory changes.

3. Quality Control & Safety

Ensure all work adheres to internal QA/QC procedures and project quality plans. Conduct site inspections and issue NCRs/SORs when necessary. Ensure safety compliance during installation and testing activities. Prepare and review test reports such as insulation resistance, continuity tests, loop impedance, grounding resistance, etc.

4. Project Monitoring & Reporting

Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or risks. Prepare daily/weekly/monthly engineering reports. Attend site meetings and provide technical clarifications.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).

UPDA Grade A/B/C certification

(must be valid).

QCDD Engineer Approval

(mandatory). Minimum

2-5 years of relevant experience

in Qatar. Strong knowledge of: NFPA and IEC standards Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) Kahramaa regulations QCDD life safety requirements Experience in electrical design software (AutoCAD, ETAP, Dialux, etc.). Strong communication and coordination skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
