Job Summary:

Charged AE is seeking a skilled and motivated

Electrical Engineer

to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, installation, and maintenance of EV charging stations. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Assessment & Planning:

Conduct site surveys to evaluate potential EV charger installation locations. Assess existing electrical infrastructure and identify required upgrades or modifications. Schedule jobs and site visits according to management instructions.

Design and Specification:

Design electrical layouts for EV charging stations, including wiring, circuit protection, and grounding. Select appropriate EV charging equipment and components based on project requirements and industry standards. Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Project Management:

Oversee the installation process, coordinating with other professionals such as civil engineers, contractors, and utility companies. Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion. Provide detailed scope of work, risk assessment, and method statement when required.

Installation and Testing:

Supervise or participate in the installation of EV charging stations. Perform electrical testing and commissioning to ensure chargers are functioning correctly and safely. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during installation.

Maintenance and Support:

Develop maintenance schedules and procedures for ongoing operation of EV chargers. Provide technical support and training to clients and users on the operation and maintenance of chargers. Address and resolve operational issues or malfunctions post-installation.

Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and test reports. Maintain records of installations, maintenance activities, and any modifications or upgrades. Generate reports summarizing project progress and outcomes for internal use and clients.

Research and Development:

Stay updated with the latest advancements in EV charging technology and industry trends. Innovate and improve current installation methods and equipment. Participate in the development of new products and solutions for EV charging infrastructure.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure all installations comply with relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations. Liaise with regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.

Client Interaction:

Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. Offer consultancy services to help clients make informed decisions about their EV charging infrastructure.

Sustainability and Efficiency:

Implement energy-efficient and sustainable practices in the installation and operation of EV chargers. Advise on the integration of renewable energy sources with EV charging systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

Valid UAE Driver's License is mandatory.

Minimum

3 years of experience

in Electrical Engineering, preferably in

EV charging

or

low-voltage systems

. Strong understanding of UAE electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations. Proficiency in electrical design tools and software. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Strong project management and organizational skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
