highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer
with a proven track record in
high-rise building projects
and a solid background working with
main or MEP contractors in the UAE
. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of
local regulations (DEWA, ADDC, Etihad, etc.)
, electrical systems in high-rise construction, and should be capable of managing the full project lifecycle from design review to installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Technical Review:
Review and verify electrical design drawings, load calculations, SLDs, and shop drawings.
Ensure compliance with
UAE regulations and authority requirements
(DEWA, ADDC, Etisalat, Civil Defense, etc.).
Coordinate with consultants and design teams to resolve design conflicts or inconsistencies.
Project Execution:
Supervise and manage electrical site works for high-rise residential, commercial, and mixed-use buildings.
Monitor installation of electrical systems including
power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, ELV, BMS, and emergency systems
.
Ensure that installation complies with project specifications, standards (IEC, BS, NEC), and authority approvals.
Contracting & Coordination:
Liaise with main contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely procurement and execution.
Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure timely completion of electrical works as per schedule.
Participate in technical meetings and project progress meetings.
Testing & Commissioning:
Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of all electrical systems.
Prepare and submit method statements, testing & commissioning plans, and O&M manuals.
Quality & Safety:
Ensure compliance with
QA/QC standards
and
HSE procedures
on-site.
Conduct regular site inspections and prepare snag lists.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed site records, material inspection requests (MIRs), and request for information (RFIs).
Prepare and submit progress reports and other technical documentation as required.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in
Electrical Engineering
(ABET or equivalent accredited).
Minimum 8 years of experience
, with
at least 6 years in the UAE
working on
high-rise buildings
.
Proven experience with
contracting companies
in
MEP or general contracting
.
Strong knowledge of
UAE authority regulations
(DEWA, ADDC, Etihad, Civil Defense, etc.).
Proficient in
AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Dialux, ETAP
or similar software.
Familiar with international standards (BS, IEC, NEC).
Excellent
project management
, communication, and
problem-solving
skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines under pressure.
Valid UAE driving license
is a plus.
