Key Duties & Responsibilities
Manage and supervise electrical works for MEP projects from design review through installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
Oversee installation of LV systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, earthing/grounding, lightning protection, fire alarm, and ELV systems.
Review and approve electrical shop drawings, material submittals, calculations, and method statements.
Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, civil, architectural, and structural teams to ensure proper system integration and resolve site clashes.
Supervise site activities, ensuring work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Monitor project progress, schedules, and manpower, reporting issues and proposing corrective actions.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and utility authorities for inspections, testing, and approvals.
Witness and support testing, commissioning, and performance verification of electrical systems.
Ensure compliance with HSE policies, QA/QC procedures, and project safety requirements.
Assist with procurement, material take-offs, cost control, variations, and change management.
Attend coordination, progress, and client meetings and prepare technical reports as required.
Prepare and review as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documentation.
Support final project handover and client acceptance.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
3-5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or Electrical Project Engineer on MEP/building projects.
Strong knowledge of LV electrical systems, fire alarm, and ELV systems.
Familiarity with IEC, NFPA, NEC (where applicable) and local authority regulations.
Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit MEP experience is an advantage.
Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a site-based project environment.
