Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee and manage electrical works in MEP construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in site execution, coordination, and supervision of electrical systems in compliance with project specifications, authority regulations, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the execution of electrical works at construction sites, ensuring compliance with approved shop drawings and project specifications. Review and validate electrical design drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals. Plan and coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and other engineering disciplines to ensure timely project completion. Monitor and inspect electrical installations, including LV/MV systems, lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, ELV systems, and earthing & lightning protection systems. Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (ADDC, DEWA, DM, Civil Defense, etc.). Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Approval Requests (MARs), Method Statements, and related documentation. Identify and resolve site-related technical issues and coordinate with consultants for approvals. Prepare and update project progress reports and ensure adherence to project schedules. Participate in testing, commissioning, and handover processes of electrical systems. Ensure all electrical works comply with health, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. Minimum

5-7 years

of experience in electrical engineering within MEP construction projects, preferably in the UAE/GCC. Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, installation, and testing. Familiarity with local authority regulations and approval processes (ADDC, DEWA, DM, ADM, Civil Defense, etc.). Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong leadership, communication, and coordination abilities. Valid UAE driving license (preferred).
