The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, a proactive approach to multidisciplinary collaboration, and a solid understanding of local authority regulations and international codes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 3+
years
of relevant experience within an MEP design consultancy environment.
Strong knowledge of local authority requirements (DEWA, ADDC, Civil Defense, etc.) and international standards (IEC, BS, NEC).
Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, Dialux, and electrical load calculation software.
Professional registration or membership (e.g., IEEE, IET, or local engineering society) is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical design from concept through to detailed design and IFC stages.
Develop lighting layouts, power distribution systems, cable sizing, panel schedules, fire alarm, grounding systems, and low-current systems.
Prepare detailed design documentation including drawings, SLD, load schedules, technical specifications etc.
Coordinate closely with mechanical, architectural, structural, and specialist consultants to produce fully integrated MEP designs.
Support value engineering and design optimization initiatives without compromising system performance or code compliance.
Participate in regular design coordination meetings and progress reviews.
