Responsibilities: Design and develop smart home electrical systems, encompassing lighting, HVAC, security, and entertainment systems. Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and other stakeholders to incorporate smart home technologies seamlessly into residential properties. Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical expertise during project planning and budgeting phases. Create detailed electrical system designs, specifications, and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Oversee the installation, integration, and testing of electrical systems, troubleshooting any technical issues that arise during the process. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to source and procure required electrical equipment and components. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in smart home technologies and industry trends, providing recommendations for product improvements and innovation. Conduct thorough quality checks and inspections to ensure the proper functioning and safety of installed electrical systems. Provide technical support to clients and address any inquiries or issues that arise post-installation. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees and certifications are a plus. Proven experience in designing and implementing electrical systems for residential or commercial projects. In-depth knowledge of smart home technologies, protocols, and standards, such as IoT, Z-Wave, Zigbee, or KNX. Proficiency in using CAD software and other relevant engineering tools for electrical system design and documentation. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex electrical issues and provide innovative solutions. Excellent project management abilities, including the capacity to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and allocate resources effectively. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate technical concepts effectively with a multidisciplinary team, clients, and contractors. Familiarity with relevant electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
