We are looking for an experienced Electrical Draftsman to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate should have 10-15 years of experience in electrical drafting for construction projects. This role involves preparing technical drawings for electrical systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements, and collaborating with engineers and other teams to deliver high-quality designs for large-scale construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
:
Prepare detailed electrical drawings for construction projects, including power distribution, lighting systems, cable trays, and grounding systems.
Collaborate closely with electrical engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure the electrical systems are integrated seamlessly into the overall project design.
Review and interpret project specifications, design guidelines, and relevant codes to ensure compliance in all drafts.
Update and revise drawings based on client feedback or design changes.
Provide support during the construction phase by ensuring accurate electrical layout plans are followed on-site.
Assist with the preparation of shop drawings and electrical system layouts, including circuit diagrams, load calculations, and equipment placement.
Coordinate with other drafting teams to ensure the consistency of designs across all disciplines.
Ensure all drafts comply with relevant local regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
Qualifications
:
10-15 years of experience as an Electrical Draftsman, preferably within the construction industry.
Strong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) for electrical drafting.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems in construction, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and cable management.
Familiarity with local Abu Dhabi electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Ability to read, interpret, and modify electrical design drawings and blueprints.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, accurate drafts.
Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment, liaising with engineers, architects, and construction teams.
A diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field is preferred.
