JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically Electrical Draftsman. In this role, you will collaborate with engineers and architects to create precise electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings for various projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems.

Technical Drawing & Design:

Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout plans using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation. Convert rough sketches and design concepts from engineers into accurate and comprehensive technical drawings. Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for electrical systems and components.

Collaboration & Coordination:

Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements and ensure designs align with specifications. Participate in design reviews and provide input on design feasibility and constructability.

Documentation & Compliance:

Prepare and maintain accurate records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation. Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Assist in the preparation of technical specifications and reports.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct thorough checks of drawings to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies. Ensure that all designs are clear, precise, and ready for implementation by construction teams.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Education:

Associate's degree in Drafting, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field. Certification in CAD software is a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical drafting or a related field. Experience with electrical systems design and layout is preferred.

Skills:

Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.). Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and wiring methods. Ability to interpret and create technical drawings and schematics. Knowledge of electrical codes and standards. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
