Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented

Electrical Draftsman

to create accurate and comprehensive technical drawings for electrical systems. The successful candidate will support engineers and project teams by developing drawings, layouts, and schematics for electrical installations in compliance with industry standards, project requirements, and applicable codes.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed

electrical drawings

, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software. Assist in the design and drafting of

lighting, power, communication, fire alarm, and low current systems

. Work closely with electrical engineers and project managers to convert designs into accurate technical drawings. Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements. Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes, standards (e.g., NEC, IEC), and client specifications. Organize and maintain drawing files, both hard copies and digital formats. Participate in site visits for data collection and field verification when needed. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including mechanical and civil drafting teams. Maintain documentation logs, revision histories, and drawing registers. Provide support during the construction phase with "as-built" drawings and updates.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

Diploma or certificate in Electrical Drafting, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.

2-5 years

of proven experience in electrical drafting, preferably in construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects.

Skills & Competencies:

Proficient in

AutoCAD

(2D essential, 3D is a plus); Revit or BIM software is a strong advantage. Knowledge of electrical design standards and symbols. Familiarity with

MEP coordination

is a plus. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting. Good organizational and communication skills. Ability to interpret technical drawings, electrical layouts, and schematics. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working on

large-scale commercial or industrial projects

. Exposure to

international standards

(e.g., BS, IEC, NEC). Experience with

BIM coordination platforms

(e.g., Navisworks, BIM 360) is a plus.
